INTERIM England manager, Lee Carsley has named his second squad for the upcoming games against Greece and Finland in this upcoming international break.
Within the 25 man squad there is a familiar face who has not represented the nation since 2017. Tottenham Hotspur striker, Dominic Solanke, who made the move from Bournemouth to the London side in the summer, has been called up to the squad with his last cap coming from his debut against Brazil in 2017.
There is no space for midfielder James Maddison despite recent successes in his performances for Tottenham Hotpsur. Manchester United duo, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire also miss out as they have struggled with form recently – Rashford has only scored one league goal for the Red Devils and Maguire has only managed to start two games since the arrival of Matthijs De Ligt to Manchester.
Defender Kyle Walker and midfielder Jude Bellingham have made their returns to thr squad after they missed out on the last England camp due to injury.
The Three Lions will play in the UEFA Nations League after being relegated last year to League B. England will return home under the Wembley arch to play against Greece on the 8th October and then will travel to Helenski for the away fixture against Finland on Sunday 13th October.
