WINCHESTER City play in the Southern Football League Premier Division, where they currently sit 14th.
As a Non-League side the club operates on a part-time basis, meaning that the playing staff will only meet for training or matches two or three times a week.
Winchester were due to play Hungerford in the league on Saturday but due to their progression in cup competition, Winchester had a free weekend that would not go to waste.
While the players were on the training pitch honing their tactics and fitness, other volunteers at the club used to opportunity to prepare their own areas for the busy run of fixtures ahead.
Ali Henderson is a key member of the club, as she acts as Welfare officer and as a Director.
She also runs the clubhouse and bar, and she spoke to us about that role and how vital it is to football clubs.
She said ” I enjoy it, I like getting to know the home and away fans, it is an important part of the club and I Love it”
Another person who was working hard despite the lack of match action was head of media Saj Rahman, who was working hard to capture content around the players.
When asked about his role as Head of Media, he said: “It is a lot elss orginised than a club higher up, and a lot of it is quite last minute,
“I have once had a director message me about six o’clock about a signing he wanted announced by seven, and that was a bit of a scramble.”
