GERMAN giants Bayern travel to the Santiago Bernabeu for a quarter final clash in the Champions League against the 15 time winners Real Madrid.
Bayern come into this fixture off the back of a dramatic 3-2 win away at Freiburg on Saturday. They have won their last three games in a row, scoring 11 goals in that time including 4 against round of 16 opponents Atalanta in a 10-2 aggregate win.
The German champions have had a stellar season so far, sitting nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, scoring 100 goals in 28 games domestically and winning 9 of their 10 games in Europe this season. Their only loss was a 3-1 defeat away at Arsenal.
Their opponents Real Madrid have struggled domestically so far, falling seven points behind title rivals Barcelona in their quest to reclaim La Liga with their last result a shock 2-1 defeat away to Mallorca.
The Spanish giants have had problems in Europe this season, recording 3 losses in Europe’s elite competition this season in the league phase including a 4-2 loss away to Benfica.
However, they are unbeaten in their last 8 games in Europe against Bayern, knocking them out in the semi finals of the 2023-24 season 4-3 on aggregate with a late Joselu brace last time they faced off.
