Match Preview: Leicester v QPR

LEICESTER hope to climb out of the relegation zone as they host Queens Park Rangers at the King Power Stadium this afternoon.

The home side start the day 18th in table and at serious risk of a first relegation to League One since 2007/08 and only their second drop down to the division in their history.

Stuck on 38 points after 37 games, the foxes have managed only one win in their last five league games but that was their last fixture beating Bristol City 2-0.

This will be seen as an opportunity to maximise points this game week as the travelling opponents have lost their last 4 games.

Despite sitting above Leicester in the table, Queens Park Rangers have lost more games this season than the home side, with their last win in the competition coming against Hull City away on the 21st February.

They’ve also had a problem with losing by heavy scorelines recently, recording a 5-0 loss away to Southampton and a 4-0 loss at home to Middlesborough.

Leicester make only one change from Tuesday with Mukasa coming in to replace Decordova Reid in the attacking midfield position, with QPR making several changes including Kolli moving into the striker role partnering Kone, with Morgan and Hayden moving into the midfield replacing Varane and Clarke-Salter. Norrington-Davies also replaces Cook at left back.
