Darts has become more and more popular in recent years which has been heavily impacted by the up and coming sensation of Luke Littler.
The two time world champion, has been a role model for a lot of young people that want to start their darts career.
Southampton Junior Darts Club run sessions every Saturday to engage young people to take up the sport.
Academy director Lawrence Dowding set up the club and has been playing Darts since a very young age.
He said:
“When i was growing up playing, there was always signs in Darts places that said no U16s allowed”
“I saw the start of the Junior Academy ride and thought it would be nice to set one up in Southampton”
“The ability to be able to do mental maths is a great life skill”
