ENGLAND have secured their place in the 2024 European Championships, which are set to be held in Germany.

The Three Lions overcame reigning champions Italy, with a 3-1 comeback, courtesy of a Harry Kane brace and a Marcus Rashford strike.

England and Real Madrid superstar, Jude Bellingham, was awarded ‘Man of The Match’ after an impressive midfield performance that guided his side to qualification.

“To have players like Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, playing at the top of their game, is just sensational” said Finley, a writer for VAVEL.

After beating England on penalties in the Euros 2020 final, Italy’s hopes of qualification remain reliant on winning their remaining two games Group C.

Max Passantino, Head of Media at Leamington Football Club, wasn’t inspired by his side’s performance at Wembley Stadium.

He said: “It all went downhill after the opening goal, it just didn’t feel like the players wanted to be there in the second half.”

However for England, they sit top of the group and are joint-favourites to win the tournament, alongside European giants, France.

Despite facing criticism throughout his managerial career, this could be Gareth Southgate’s opportunity to finally lead England to glory by winning some silverware.

“Whether the manager is right or wrong, you have to respect what he’s done for English football and the national team, I do believe we have a very good chance of winning the Euros,” Finley said.

Could this be England’s history-making tournament?
