Walking football is the new craze at Solent University as the football development course has introduced this new activity for students and staff.
Speaking to those involved, Eoin Yates said ‘we were hoping for for female participation’ and luckily during the activity, two were present.
Football studies lecturer was one of the woman, and the other was SGS Olveston United goalkeeper Laura Kwiatkowska.

Laura, otherwise known by her nickname ‘Lara Croft’ has enjoyed her time at the events as its a new challenge.
It’s a great challenge to face the boys power shots, i’m not used to that power

Having it become mixed in competition over recent weeks, Eoin Yates expected a smaller crowd this week due to it being a University reading week but it was quite the opposite.
Oli Greenslade counted 27 people and a good 4 teams worth.
A great week to be fair, not often you have to control 4 heaped teams.

Walking football done for another week, will you walk, skip or run into this adaptation of the worlds most popular sport.
