Saints winger Tyler Dibling has earned his first England Under-21 call up for November’s friendlies against Spain and the Netherlands.
The 18 year old starlet made his debut for the Under-19s back in September with his breakthrough season earning him a rapid promotion to the Under-21s.
Dibling has made 12 appearances for Southampton, scoring his first Premier League goal against Ipswich, along with two assists in the Carabao Cup.
He will have his first chances to appear for the young lions with two away fixtures, the first being against Spain on the 15th and the second against Netherlands on the 17th.
Coming off the bench on Saturday, Dibling helped his side secure their first win of the season as they beat Everton 1-0 to move off the bottom of the table.
Speaking on his young talent after their draw against Ipswich, manager Russell Martin praised Dibling saying “He has an amazing mentality. And real incredible talent.”
Playing in his first Premier League season, the youngster has drawn a lot of interest with Tottenham, Manchester United and former club Chelsea all rumoured to have been looking at him.
Dibling returned to Saints after just two months at the west London side, saying that the Southampton was like “A second home”
Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham, the brother of England star Jude Bellingham has also been called up for the first time.
England Under-21 captain and Saints defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis has also earned himself a promotion, being called up to the Senior team alongside keeper Arron Ramsdale.
Among the Southampton camp, Sam Amo-Ameyaw will also feature in the England set up as he was called-up for the England Under-19s looking to add to his three appearances.
