TIGER Woods is set to hit golf shots for the first time in more than a year on Tuesday.
Woods, 50, has been out for two years following a series of different operations – he was sidelined in October after having to replace a disk in his back.
The American’s last competitive performance came at the TGL in February 2025, while his previous appearance on the PGA tour came 20 months ago.
In reaction to the speculation over Woods’ return, the golfer’s Jupiter Links Golf Club on X posted a photo of the 15-time major, with the caption: “I’m back.” In 2026, Woods has held a non-playing role with Jupiter Links Golf Club.
Speaking last month, Woods said that competing in the Masters from 9-12 April was:
“Is not off the table.
“I said I’ve been working on it. Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad days. Disc replacement is not a lot of fun.”
The 50-year-old suffered a number of leg injuries, following a car crash in 2021, and ruptured his Achilles tendon in March last year.
Woods will play for his Jupiter Links team in the second match of the TGL finals at the SoFi Center, looking to claim victory in two must win matches.
