MANCHESTER United defeated Everton one-nil at the Hill Dickinson stadium thanks to a Benjamin Sesko goal after a quick counterattack.

Manchester United remain unbeaten under Michael Carrick as the Red Devils move back into the top 4.

Since Carrick’s arrival, the Manchester side have only dropped points in one game out of his first six, a one-all draw away at West Ham United.

Carrick has helped revolutionise Manchester United, winning in the Manchester derby and beating league leaders Arsenal away from home.

Senne Lammens took the player of the match award for the victory on Merseyside, making vital saves and commanding defensive corners to get his third clean sheet in six games.

Sesko has now scored off the bench in back-to-back matches for the Red Devils, with fans wanting Sesko to come into the next starting 11. 

The United boss explained how his relationship with the Slovenian striker is only getting stronger.

“I’ve got a really good relationship with Ben, we’ve. Had really good conversations. He is in a really good place.

“We are helping him take his steps in development and grow as a player.

“He has taken huge steps recently in terms of the goals that he has scored and the impact he has had.

“He obviously wants to play, and I can’t speak highly enough of him.”

Manchester United will face Crystal Palace at home on Sunday to keep up their Champions League aspirations.
