BOULDERSHACK is hosting a birthday party this Saturday to celebrate turnng eight years old.
Back in 2017, the climbing gym set a target of £20,000 to help build the facility. In the end they smashed their target and raised £32,000, with the extra funding going towards harnesses, shoes and other equipment for charity use.
The ‘Shack’ is now a hub for the community and climbers of all abilities.
Climbing gyms are becoming more popular across the UK with Bouldershack team member Harry saying:
“The climbing industry is still quite nascent, it’s still growing I see a future where there will be a gym in every city, probably multiple.”
