Solent RedHawks fight back and draw with Surrey Stingers

SOLENT RedHawks remarkably came from a 14-0 deficit to come back and draw the game in the 4th quarter against Surrey stingers.

The RedHawks had a disastrous start as quarterback Ben Lester threw two interceptions on his first and second drives on offence.

Ben Lester has been inconsistent all season where in some parts has had excellent offensive drives but has yet to have a game where doesn’t turn the ball over after throwing an interception and today was no different.

The Quarterback had flashes of brilliance but at the end of the day if you turnover the ball and give the opposition a chance to score its going to be long day at the office.

The RedHawks battled back after picking themselves up from a terrible start but the fans were impressed by the determination of the team.

With key performances from some of the skill position players like both running backs Sam Adesanya and Dejuan Marshall that kept Solent in it as well as big gains on special teams from the kick returner and punt returner.

It ended all square and both teams felt like they could have had more from the game, where as Surrey Stingers will feel they should have killed the game early but the RedHawks would go home thinking that if they didn’t have such a bad start, they could have won the game easily.

Even though it seems a long shot if the RedHawks win the rest of their games they can still get promoted of results go their way.
