Salah to leave Liverpool at end of season

LIVERPOOL confirm forward Mohamed Salah will depart at the end of this Premier League season; the 33-year-old wished to make an early announcement in order to ‘provide transparency about his future’ for all Liverpool supporters.

Salah has called time on his stupendous nine year stint at Liverpool, where after he will become a free agent.

Liverpool’s statement read: “Salah expressed his wish to make this announcement to the supporters at the earliest possible opportunity to provide transparency about his future due to his respect and gratitude for them.”

Salah has so far racked up 255 goals and 122 assists in 435 games for Liverpool.

The Egyptian has won every top trophy available, and will be looking to add to that, with lots to play for before the end of the season.

Liverpool will face reigning European Champions Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals, and face Manchester City in the last eight of the FA Cup.

They will also be hoping to qualify for next years Champions League spot, which would need to see them finish in fifth or higher.

Salah will be hoping to end his remarkable Liverpool career on a high, and finish the season strong.
