The modus super series is one of the highest forms of amateur darts, with players having the chance to gain TV experience white battling it out for £5,000.
Tyler Thorpe of Norfolk made his debut on the super series and sent the darting world into shock as he broke the record for having the best day in the competition’s three year history. Tyler won all five of his day one games, only dropping one leg in, which were all best of seven. This means that he won 20 out of his 21 played, meaning someone is going to have a perfect day to beat Thorpe.
In this package, I speak to both Tyler and county player Ethan Bynorth about trying to break the barrier into the world of amateur darts, as well as progressing to the next level. Myself and Tyler also go through what happens behind the scenes at the Super Series.
