Putting the Spotlight on Sports Therapy

THE driving force behind most sports-related rehabilitations is none other than sports therapy, a field that blends science, skill, and a deep understanding of the human body.

For Solange Samuel, a dedicated student currently pursuing her degree in the discipline, this work is far more than an academic pursuit.

It has already become a defining part of her identity.

Samuel has played a vital role in helping numerous athletes return to peak performance, often stepping in at critical moments when recovery can determine the future of a player’s season.

Her growing reputation earned her a place with the Prep School Lions, where she served as the team physio for this summer’s Gothia Cup in Sweden: one of the world’s largest and most prestigious youth football tournaments.

Working on an international stage not only allowed her to put her training into practice, but also exposed her to the intensity and professionalism of high-level competition.

Interestingly, Samuel’s journey into sports therapy didn’t begin with ambitions of working with elite athletes.

Instead, it started at home.

She initially pursued the degree to support her mother, who suffers from arthritis.

Witnessing the daily challenges she faced inspired her to learn how to manage pain, improve mobility, and ultimately enhance quality of life.

What began as a personal mission soon grew into a passion for helping others.

That passion has been the driving force behind her rapidly developing career.

In addition to her studies and hands-on experience with athletes, Samuel took a bold step forward by launching her own online business via Instagram just a few months ago.

Through this platform, she offers advice and services aimed at making sports therapy more accessible to people of all ages and activity levels.

For Solange, the journey is just beginning, with many more athletes set to be helped in the future.
