For the 17th consecutive season, the NFL took a trip across the pond to host three games in three weeks.
The international games began with an entertaining clash between the Minnesota Vikings and the Cleveland Browns, before the Denver Broncos narrowly defeated the New York Jets, and the LA Rams thrashed the Jacksonville Jaguars to round-off the action.
With a reported 2.8 million fans in the United Kingdom, and a fan increase of 32% since 2021, American football is rapidly becoming one of the most popular sports in Europe.
Reflecting on the final game in London, and the Rams’ 35-7 win over the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, Buffalo Bills fan, Nick said:
“It’s a fantastic day out, and I would encourage everyone to do it. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

However, the NFL’s on-field action and fandom is not the only thing that British-based fans should be excited about. The league has also established several initiatives and opportunities such as the NFL academy to achieve a grassroots presence.
On the rise of grassroots football, Cardiff Cobras wide receiver, Ollie Price had this to say:
“Getting the visibility to fans, and then getting them say ‘I’d love to do this and try it,’ and then you have teams all over the UK, that have spaces available to grow the game. It is a match made in heaven.”
