Moment of madness in Manchester for Everton

And Breathe! 90 minutes of chaos in Manchester last night as Everton secure their first win at Old Trafford in 12 years going all the way back to 2013.

What seemed as a normal Monday night Premier league match between Manchester United and Everton started off as a usual game turned upside down really quickly as Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana gueye was sent off in the 13th minute of the game for violate conduct but not for what you’d be thinking.

Now for the 3rd time ever in Premier League history a player has been sent off for violate conduct against HIS OWN TEAMMATE! The previous 2 times were last encountered back in 2005 between Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer for Newcastle; and in 2008 for Stoke forward Ricardo Fuller.

Well Everton went down to 10-men after Idrissa Gana Gueye was spotted by referee Tony Harrington slapping his fellow teammate Michael Keane following a disagreement after The Red Devils nearly took the lead.

Even though they were a man down early on, Everton managed to find the only goal of the game through midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall wonder striker beating Uniteds new goalkeeper Senne Lammens from distance.

Everton with a man down managed to see out a 1-0 win after facing 23 shots and 70% possession from the home side.

Regarding the sending off, both managers after the game saw the incident in the same point of view and both thought the reaction from the Senegalese midfielder was just the passion for the game!

Ruben Amorim said,

“Doesn’t mean they don’t like each other,

” I know its violate conduct, the referee explain but I DON’T AGREE

“I hope when my players lose the ball they fight each other!”

David Moyes praises his players for the sending off,

“I’m quite pleased they were fighting each other showed me that they cared,

“if we haven’t had gotten that fight and resilience, we’d never get through the rest of the game!”

Well the only goalscorer Dewsbury-Hall spoke out after the game defending his fellow teammate,

” I think it was a moment of madness obviously avoidable,

“but he’s apologised to us about it and now we move on from it! “

As the sending off was a straight red card, Gueye will now miss the new 3 games for Everton, which includes home games against Newcastle and Nottingham Forrest and away at Bournemouth.
