WINCHESTER City take on Chesham United in what will be their second home game in a run of three at the Charters Community Stadium.
City have won back-to-back games and will be looking to take this momentum into the weekends game in the Southern Premier Division South.
A strong display last time out saw them beat Tiverton Town 2-1 with goals coming from Tommy wright and Pip Nolan, but it will take a lot more to defeat this week’s visitors who currently sit at the top of the table.
There is a 20-point difference between the two sides going into the match and they are separated by 10 places.
Winchesters promising last two games will give them confidence going into this, but the away sides recent form can’t be ignored so City boss Craig Davis will have told his players all about their strengths and potential weaknesses.
Chesham’s last loss came on the 16th of December, and it was a hefty 4-0 defeat away at Plymouth Parkway but since then they have won five of their last six, drawing the other one.
City did beat United 2-1 in the reverse fixture back in September and the teams shared the points in both meeting last season.
Potential match winners
The home sides striker Tommy Wright could be a threat for the Chesham defenders as his small but strong build allows him to back into defenders and maintaining the ball in tight areas.
Another player from Winchester that could win the game for them is goalkeeper Luke Cairney who won their man of the match award in their previous fixture and was called “the best keeper in the league” by Craig Davis.
The Chesham player most likely to do some damage to the home team is forward Ricky German who has two goals in their last two wins.
Where can you watch it?
