The Wessex Wyverns are a LGBTQ+ rugby team based in Southampton.
The team was established in 2014 to encourage gay people to enjoy the sport and to bring new players to the sport.
The Wyverns have started their campaign in the International Gay Southern Division in fantastic form, as they are undefeated in their first three matches.
In their previous match they absolutely demolished their opponents, The Kings Cross Steelers, winning by a scoreline of 108-5.
The Wyverns recently travelled to Rome to compete in the Bingham Cup, an international gay rugby tournament held every two year with teams from across the globe competing in it.
They have just celebrated their 10 year anniversary and pride themselves on welcoming players and supporters alike from different backgrounds.
