JACK Draper will have to beat five-time champion Novak Djokovic if he is to defend his Indian Wells title.

The British number one beat world number 20 Francisco Cerundolo on Monday afternoon, winning in straight sets 6-1 7-5.

As for the 38-year-old Serbian great, he defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4 1-6 6-4 to keep his hopes alive.

Draper only returned from injury last week from an eight-month arm injury, and has already overcome two challengers to get to this stage.

Djokovic’s other win came against Kamil Majchrzak, winning the final two sets 6-1 6-2 to avoid a humiliating exit after losing the first set 4-6.

Elsewhere, fellow Briton Cameron Norrie put in an impressive performance to knock out sixth seed Alex de Minaur 6-4 6-4.

He will play unseeded Rinky Hijikata in his last-16 match, which the 30-year-old will be the strong favourite to win.
