CRAIG Bellamy was appointed Wales Head Coach in the summer of 2024 replacing Rob Page but have lost their way recently.
Although Wales have only lost twice in twelve games, Bellamy’s side are third in their World Cup Qualifying group behind North Macedonia and Belgium.
Wales have important matches coming up against Liechtenstein and North Macedonia next month, for a chance at playing in consecutive World Cups for the first time in the nations history.
Belgium have been Bellamy’s worst foes with both of his competitive losses coming up against the Red Devils, conceding four goals in both games.
The former Welsh boss Rob Page went winless in 2022, including in their second World Cup and failed to qualify for Euro 2024, with Page’s last match being a heavy 4-0 friendly defeat against Slovakia.
Bellamy soon replaced Page and started positively, going unbeaten in the UEFA Nations League B.
A positive start to 2025 has come unstuck recently with four defeats in the last five including two friendly defeats, one-nil against Canada and three-nil against England last week.
After last night’s defeat against Belgium, automatic qualification for the World Cup in North America is looking highly unlikely, four points separating Belgium and Wales with only two games left.
If Wales don’t qualify many fans would see this campaign as a failure, could Craig Bellamy have his job on the line if so?
