F1 season review: Did the supposed biggest ever season live up to the hype

FORMULA One’s 2023 season was meant to be its biggest ever with a whopping 23 races over the calendar year and a brand new entry from the streets of the Las Vegas strip.

However, due to violent downpours in Italy, the race at Imola was cancelled making this season the same length as the previous 2022 campaign.

With that dampener on the season, it took away a large part of why the F1 world was so excited for this season.

Along with this, we are witnessing one of the best drivers we have ever seen not only sprint away from the rest of the pack, but also his teammate in equal machinery.

This driver is of course Max Verstappen who won his third drivers championship in 3 years and also could’ve singlehandedly won the constructors championship as he had more points on his own than Mercedes did in second place.

After years of domination from the Mercedes f1 team, fans were hoping that the new regulation changes would’ve helped even the playing field, but this season shows that Red Bull have got it spot on whereas other teams have fallen short.

Like all sport, F1 is very divisive with this season being no exception as some fans have loved it and some have their quarrels with it.

One fan who has loved this season is Tik Tok influencer Andy Moore who has amassed over 188k followers on the platform from posting F1 content.

Andy thinks this season has been amazing and he loves the variety of drivers that have featured on the podium this season.

He said “This has been the most exciting season I have ever seen in my life.

“This is the racing i like to see. this has been more like formula E where we see different types of drivers getting wins and podiums

“Well Max Verstappen has been getting the wins but there has been a load of different drivers getting podiums.”

For the F1 Tik Tok star, this season has definitely lived up to the hype but others might not feel the same way as a common complaint amongst fans was that there was a lack of variety in race winners.

So, do you feel that this season has lived up to its potential, or has it finished outside the points?
