Ex-Wales rugby star meeting with Super Bowl winners over potential move

LOUIS Rees-Zammit will meet with Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs this week to discuss a potential move.

The former Wales rugby star made the unconventional switch from Rugby to NFL in January, but already has the big teams eyeing him up.

Rees-Zammit is part of the International Player Pathway (IPP), A 10-week course which teaches players the skills they need to pursue a career in NFL.

Despite this recent transition, the former Wales winger has already spoken to the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns, as well as meeting the Denver Broncos alongside the Super Bowl champions this week – highlighting just how in demand he really is.

He also showcased his skills at University of South Florida’s Pro Day this month, with scouts from all 32 NFL teams in attendance as he hopes to be selected for a team’s training squad before the new season starts in September.

NFL UK wrote on their Instagram: “More visits coming up for IPP class of ’24 prospect Louis Rees-Zammit,”

The Kansas City Chiefs have won three of the last five Superbowls, becoming the first team to retain the title for almost two decades.

As for the Denver Broncos, they came third in the AFC West last season, two spots below the Chiefs.
