FORMULA ONE is a sport with many complexities. From different components that make up the cars, most with names and abbreviations, that let’s be honest, no one truly understands, to hundreds of regulations that teams and drivers need to adhere to.
But before we throw you in at the deep end, we are going to walk you through the different teams.
So far, we’ve spoken about Alpine, Aston Martin, Audi, Cadillac, Ferrari, Haas, McLaren and finally Mercedes. So next up is…
Racing Bulls

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team, based in Faenza, Italy, is the sister team of Red Bull Racing.
The team’s journey in Formula One started as Scuderia Toro Rosso from 2006 to 2019 and was classed as Red Bull’s junior team.
From 2020 to 2022, they re-branded to Scuderia AlphaTauri to promote Red Bull’s fashion brand.
In the same year, they became the sister team instead.
Visa Cash App RB was used for one season in 2024 before they added the Racing Bulls bit instead.
Drivers who race for Racing Bulls are all part of the Red Bull programme and are all competing to potentially race for the better team.
However, just because Red Bull is better, it doesn’t always mean drivers should take the step up.
Who makes up the Racing Bulls team?
The Team Principal is Alex Permane
The British principal has been with the team since 2025, previously serving as sporting director, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Race Engineer for Alpine/Renault.
After being released by Alpine in 2023, he was announced as the race director for Racing Bulls.
His job is to oversee all the technical, operational and personnel aspects to ensure the team is moving in the right direction.
Ultimately, he has final say over key strategic decisions and represents the team publicly in the media.
Like every F1 team, there are two drivers.

Liam Lawson is the only New Zealander on the grid and has flip-flopped between Racing Bulls and Red Bull for the past two years.
Becoming a member of the Red Bull Junior Team in 2019, Lawson was a reserve driver for both Red Bull and AlphaTauri from 2022 to 2024.
Due to Daniel Ricciardo picking up an injury during the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, the Kiwi made the step up for five races.
When AlphaTauri rebranded for 2024, Lawson replaced the Aussie from the US Grand Prix.
With Sergio Perez not putting in the performances that Red Bull required, at the end of the season, he was let go.
Lawson was promoted to Red Bull, but in a harsh turn of events, was demoted back to Racing Bulls after just two races.
Arvid Lindblad is the second driver and is also the only rookie on the grid this season.
The Brit has been on Red Bull’s books since 2021 and has continued to race for them throughout junior years.
Despite finishing 6th last season in Formula Two, Lindblad impressed Red Bull, allowing him to make the step up.
Their current test/reserve drivers are Yuki Tsunoda and Ayumu Iwasa, both from Japan
Racing Bull’s constructor championship record is as followed:
2024 – 8th
2025 – 6th
With the new regulations now at play, these first few races could determine what direction the teams go in for the rest of the season.
Next up is Red Bull.
