England start strong in Wellington as they beat Australia 42-7

The red roses have got their WXV1 campaign underway over in the capital of New Zealand with a huge win over The Aussies.

The current world number one’s were keen to impress with Hannah Botterman, Ella Wyrwas, captain Marlie Packer and Jess Breach all scoring tries in the first 40 minutes.

England then looked to add to their score with Packer and Megan Jones before Australia replied through Ashley Marsters.

Things then went from bad to worse for Australia who had Annabelle Codey sent off after being sin binned in the first half.

Codey, who plays second row, was sin binned in the first-half for making shoulder contact with the captain Packer’s head. She was then sent off for the same challenge on Ella Wyrwas.

The Red Roses have their next game on the 27th October against Canada.
