Sunday 25th January 2026 – many people believe this to be a normal day but for others it was the biggest day of their year.
Portsmouth vs Southampton, the away fans could only get their hands on 2,700 tickets and had to leave at 8am.
Any other fans that wanted to watch the game from the red side of the south coast had to be in a pub or at the live screenings that was being shown at St Marys stadium.
As fans slowly arrived to the stadium at around 10:30 the fan zone was slowly filling up and getting ready for the game.
Each fan with a pints n there hand and pie complements of there ticket purchase the mood was high.
For Saints fans there was a slight feeling in the air that something was going to go wrong but they believed in there team.
This was the game for there season to reignite there season to put a smile back on there fans faces.
The game was edging closer and the nerves were rising fans starting to shake the atmosphere was growing people in there houses over half a mile away could hear the chanting.
After a shaky first half fans started to build a tower out of beer cups cheering as more land into each others cups.
The second half started the fan zone eager to see a goal.
