Bognor footballers are raising money for charity ahead of Arctic Circle trip

PINK Pub Thursday night footballers from Bognor Regis are raising money for charity in honour of James Palmer-Bullock.

Seventeen local players will be taking a self-funded trip this August Bank Holiday to Henningsvær Stadium in Norway, exclusively via public transport.

Palmer-Bullock was described as: “More than a football mate, he was family.”

They will travel on trains, boats and buses to reach the Arctic Circle.

The Stadium is 1983 miles from Bognor, and its island (part of the Lofoten Islands) is surrounded by fish racks to dry cod.

The benefiting charities are The Sussex Snowdrop Trust and Children on the Edge.

The charities were chosen “for the good work they do in the local community as well as worldwide.”

So far, the team has raised £3405.
