Antoine Semenyo’s super start to the season

Bournemouth have been one of the stories of the Premier League season so far, making their best-ever start to a top-flight campaign.

Winger Antoine Semenyo has been outstanding, netting six goals and assisting three in his opening seven appearances.

A unique player, due to his size and power on the wing, only Erling Haaland has registered more goal contributions than the Ghanaian.

With things going well on the pitch, Cherries fans are enjoying the ride. Season ticket holder, Keith Fensom said:

“He reminds me of John Barnes, he’s very strong, he can barge people off, and he does not get knocked off the ball very easily. At the moment on current form, I think that he’s playing better than Salah, and I can’t think of a better wide player in the Premier League.”

Having lost Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez in the summer, Semenyo has already been the topic of interest from several big clubs, with a reported release clause of £75m.

With 31 games to go in the season, the 25-year-old has the chance to cement himself as one of the Premier League’s top players and a Cherries legend by guiding them to Europe.
