Carlos Sainz dropped from Ferrari for Lewis Hamilton

The Spanish driver Carlos Sainz will leave Ferrari in 2025.

He said he will “give his best” at Ferrari this season, after being dropped for Lewis Hamilton.

The Italian Formula 1 team announced last Thursday the shocking news about Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari for the 2025 season after being at Mercedes for 11 years, in which he won six world tittles.

The Spanish driver won the only race for Ferrari last season in the Singapore Grand Prix and was also the only non-Red Bull driver to win a race in 2023.

The 29 year-old said: “Following today’s news, Scuderia Ferrari and myself will part ways at the end of 2024,” Sainz wrote on his social media channels on Thursday evening.

“We still have a long season ahead of us and, like always, I will give my absolute best for the team and for the tifosi all around the world.”

“News about my future will be announced in due course”

Carlos Sainz, who raced for Ferrari since 2021 alongside his teammate Charles Leclerc, will have to search for another F1 team if he is looking forward to continue his journey in the motorsport career.
