Max Verstappen continues to break records and won his 16th race of the season last time out in Mexico.
The Dutchman dominated in Mexico City and wants to repeat the feat today in Brazil.
The three-time world champion is delighted to return to Sao Paulo and said: “Looking ahead to Brazil, it’s the final race of a triple header and the last Sprint race of the season.
“Coming off of a good race in Mexico, we are confident going into this weekend but need to keep our focus.”
“It’s crazy to have achieved 16 wins so far this season; after last year, I didn’t think it would be possible to replicate that, so it just shows what an amazing season we’re having.”
“I am appreciative of all of the hard work and effort everyone in the Team is putting in; I’m glad we can show that on track. Now the focus is on the 17th win!”
Reigning Formula 2 champion, Aston Martin test, and reserve driver Felipe Drugovich will support the British team at his home event.
The 23-year-old delved into Brazil’s storied history with Formula 1 and how that has helped him reach the fringes of the F1 grid.
“Brazil has such a long relationship with F1 and such a strong culture that goes hand in hand with the sport. We’ve got so many legends, like Ayrton Senna, and so many incredible circuits – some of which I’ve been lucky to visit.
“I’ve also been lucky enough to have the support of my sponsors – but even then, coming from Brazil and wanting to make it into high-level motorsport isn’t easy; you have to move 10,000 kilometres away from home just to make it work.
“Brazilians are very passionate and committed when it comes to racing – when we do it, we do it properly.”
