Both sides have been in fine form, with Bolton hoping to keep their automatic promotion hopes alive, whilst Reading will be hoping to use their game in hand advantage and make a push into the playoff positions.

Current Form:

Reading have scored 11 goals in their last five matches, and have scored in each of their last 12 games.

Jack Marriot leads the line for Reading, and is currently joint highest goalscorer in the league with fifteen goals, level with Leyton Orient’s Dominic Ballard and Southport’s Kyle Wooton.

Lewis Wing has also played a huge part in the Royals’ success this season, with the third highest amount of big chances created in the division (11), whilst picking up nine assists for his side in the process.

Bolton have also been in good goalscoring form, scoring nine in their last five matches.

The Wanderers are on a seven game unbeaten streak, and sit just six points behind Lincoln in the automatic promotion spots.

Sam Dalby and Mason Burstow have both been key for Steven Schumacher’s side, with both players scoring eight goals each this season.

Brighton Loanee Amario Cozier-Duberry has also been showing his promise in the division so far campaign, scoring six goals as well as providing eight assists.

Nothing could separate the two sides when they met earlier on in the season, playing out a 1-1 draw. Reading were able to get a 1-0 win in the game before that, and goals certainly don’t go amiss when the two play each other. Bolton were able to beat Reading 5-2 in two consecutive matches between the two in 2024.
