Saints Foundation go marching in to the Isle of Wight

Saints Foundation Isle Of Wight trip

The charity group of Southampton FC took the elderly generation on a public transport expedition which included a train journey, a bus ride and a hovercraft crossing!

This fun day out came into existence through the funding of South Western Railway and Hovertravel, combined with the logistical planning from those at the Saints Foundation.

We exist to support people in need throughout Southampton, providing life-changing opportunities to help our city and its communities thrive.

Our vision – a city where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed.

This is just one of many opportunities the Saints Foundation have organised…

“As part of our Senior Saints project, South Western Railway fund our team to take people from our 60+ activity sessions on a trip to ‘Try the Train’. This is to help engage them with staff, try buying tickets, using the machines, and find their confidence on public transport. This has previously allowed for trips to the New Forest for afternoon tea, or all the way to London for a trip on the London Eye.”
