Spreading the word of the bird

THE RSPB has done a big garden birdwatch to encourage more people to get out of their houses, and take a look at the wildlife.

What is the RSPB? Well, it stands for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. They have done something called The Big Garden Birdwatch, which is the UK’s biggest citizen wildlife survey and runs all the way through until the 23rd of February.

How does it work? You choose an hour across any day and record how many birds land in your patch. Once you have done that you record the highest number of each bird species you see at one time.

Take a look below, as Will Hewlett and Freddie Kilbey give it a try.
