EVERY child born between 2002 and 2011 had a government-issued Child Trust Fund (CTF) issued to them, totalling six million CTFs. Despite the flurry of easily pending pounds, 25% of mature CTFs are still unclaimed.
That’s 758,000 people who might not know that they have some critically needed income just a 15-minute form away.
The average value of a CTF is £3,203. That’s seven Xbox Series S, five iPhone 16s, three all-inclusive weeks in Spain, 100 driving lessons, or almost 3,000 Greggs sausage rolls.
Whether it’s holidays, shopping, gaming, or calories, that’s totally up to you.
To find out if you are eligible, go to www.gov.uk, search ‘Child Trust Funds’ and follow the necessary steps. The process took me under 15 minutes; at an average of £3,203, that’s almost £215 per minute – definitely worth the clicks.
It can take the Government 15 days to get back to you, so if you’re relying on this money, allow for some additional time to potentially be several thousand pounds richer.
Together, approximately £2.4 billion is unclaimed; perhaps your share is amongst it. I would check if I were you.
