SOUTHAMPTON striker Adam Armstrong has joined West Bromwich Albion on a deal until the end of the season.
The deal has been officially announced after last nights deadline. However the adequate paperwork was submitted before the deadline, meaning all that had to happen was an official announcement.
The 27 year old has swapped the south coast for Birmingham after a lacklustre start this season. Armstrong has registered just two goals in 20 appearances for bottom side Southampton.
Armstrong joins a forward roster which already includes the likes of Josh Maja, Karlan Grant, and Grady Diagana.
Although the Englishmen’s Premier League credentials have been questioned this term, it’s in the second tier where he often thrives. Last year registering 21 goals and 14 assists for the playoff winners
New West Brom boss Tony Mowbray, who previously worked with Armstrong at Coventry City, will hope this is the extra firepower his side needs to cement their promotion push.
